The right-wing BJP government, led by Narendra Modi, has carried out ceaseless attacks on working people since it came to power in 2014. The Modi government’s policy of rampant privatisation of the public sector, including railways, electricity, telecommunications, highways, and airports. etc. has squeezed the working class, while rewarding the rich multinationals.

Unemployment and inflation are at an all-time high. Modi’s policies have filled the pockets of parasitic capitalists like Adani, while income inequality between the rich and the poor has risen enormously under this regime. 

There is huge resentment against Modi’s anti-people policies. To divert from all his failures, the Modi government is dividing the working class on religious, caste and ethnic lines. 

Trade unionists, human right activists, or whomever resists the Modi government’s reactionary policies are detained under draconian laws like the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), where one can be detained in jail indiscriminately without bail for years. 

Opposition parties led by Congress (India Front) offer no alternative to Modi’ capitalist policies. In fact, they offer more of the same. 

Only the working class, organising on class lines at an all-India level, overcoming religious, caste and ethnic divisions, and launching an indefinite general strike to bring down the BJP and bring about socialist revolution, offers any way out.

• Fulfilment of the 16-point charter of workers’ and farmers’ demands!
• A guaranteed minimum support price for farm crops!
• The new labour code must be repealed! Stop privatisation of the public sector!
• That draconian laws like UAPA and AFSPA acts be immediately repealed!
• Repeal CAA,NRC,NPR!
• An injury to one is an injury to all!
• A minimum wage of Rs. 30,000/- to every worker!
• The right of workers to form trade unions and the right of workers to strike!
• Expropriate the MNC’ banks, insurance companies, and industry under the democratic control of workers!
• Fight capitalism! For a Socialist revolution!
